About the Family:

A thoughtful, intentional, and highly engaged family in Chicago, IL is seeking a professional, proactive, and developmentally-minded nanny to support their two young children in a temporary role lasting most likely through early Fall. The family places a strong emphasis on secure attachment, gentle caregiving, clear communication, and treating nannying as a respected profession.

Mom is currently a stay-at-home parent and will be involved and collaborative, particularly during the infant stage. Dad works primarily outside of the home with a hybrid schedule on Fridays. The family values teamwork, transparency, and mutual respect and is seeking a nanny who truly partners with them day-to-day.

The baby is currently breastfed with bottled milk provided by mom (breastfeeding will likely conclude in the coming months). He has mild reflux and benefits from a caregiver who is patient, attentive, and experienced with infant feeding, burping, tummy time, and gentle sleep support. The family prioritizes responsive care and secure attachment over rigid sleep training.

The toddler attends daycare full-time (9:00am–4:00pm) but will occasionally be home due to illness or closures. When home, the family hopes the nanny will provide enriching, hands-on experiences such as baking, museum outings, art projects, reading, and imaginative play. Both children have a dairy sensitivity.

Travel is an important part of this role. The family anticipates 2–3 trips during the contract, including domestic travel and a possible international trip. A valid U.S. passport is required.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal nanny is:

  • A professional infant and toddler nanny who takes pride in their work

  • Proactive, self-directed, and anticipates needs without daily instruction

  • An exceptionally clear and transparent communicator

  • Comfortable receiving direct, respectful feedback

  • Calm, gentle, and deeply attuned to children’s emotional needs

  • A true team player who naturally helps where needed

  • Fully present with children (minimal phone use; screen time is limited and intentional)

  • Confident supporting two young children when the toddler is home

  • Aligned with secure attachment, “connect before correct,” and gentle caregiving philosophies

This role is ideal for a nanny who does not take a “bare minimum” approach, but instead values professionalism, accountability, and high-quality care in a well-supported home.

Responsibilities

Childcare & Development:

  • Provide warm, responsive, developmentally appropriate care for infant and toddler

  • Support infant feeding, burping, tummy time, reading, and gentle sleep conditioning

  • Engage toddler in educational, creative, and hands-on activities when home

  • Support routine-building and consistency across both children

  • Prep baby food when ready for solids

Household Support (Child-Focused):

  • Child laundry and organizing children’s clothing (including sizing outgrown items)

  • Bottle and pump part cleaning and sanitizing

  • Light kitchen reset and unloading dishwasher

  • Organizing toys, books, and common areas

  • Refilling water filter

  • Changing bassinet sheets and assisting with baby bath time

  • Taking out baby-related trash

  • Daily Swiffer of downstairs living areas

  • Washing and prepping fruits and vegetables for toddler

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $35–$45/dzܰ

  • 34 guaranteed hours per week

  • 5 paid days off (nanny’s choosing, prorated for temporary role)

  • Fair, clearly defined travel compensation including:

    • Standard working hours while traveling

    • Scheduled time off during trips

    • Additional compensation for overnights or extra hours

  • Family is communicative, respectful, and highly values their nanny as a professional

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience with infants and toddlers

  • Strong understanding of infant development and attachment-based care

  • Proactive, organized, and communicative

  • Comfortable managing infant reflux and feeding routines

  • Valid U.S. passport and openness to travel

  • Own reliable vehicle preferred

  • Strong, verifiable references

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

This is a wonderful temporary opportunity for a highly professional infant and toddler nanny seeking a meaningful, well-supported role with a thoughtful family who truly values quality care, communication, and partnership.

The family values structure, organization, and emotional warmth, and is looking for someone who can partner closely with them to keep both the children’s lives and the household running smoothly.

Their 8-year-old son is bright, sweet, and enthusiastic. He thrives with patience, predictability, and gentle structure—especially during transitions. He loves Legos, building projects, chess, video games, and creative problem-solving, and he is deeply affectionate with his younger sister. Social dynamics can be more challenging for him, but he has made tremendous progress over the past few years and does best with calm, confident adult guidance. Their nearly 3-year-old daughter is a spirited, sweet, and strong-willed toddler with big emotions and a big personality. She attends a Montessori preschool and the occasionally after school activity or appointment. She loves animals, pretend play, and hands-on activities, and benefits from a caregiver who is warm, playful, and steady with boundaries. Warm, Creative, and Emotionally Attuned Full-Time Nanny/House Manager in Corte Madera, California

About the Family:
A joyful, warm, and deeply engaged family in Corte Madera, CA is seeking a creative, emotionally attuned, and collaborative full-time nanny/house manager to support their vibrant 4-year-old son. Their child is imaginative, animated, and endlessly creative—he loves pretend play, art, sensory activities, tactile learning, and anything that allows him to express his curious, artistic spirit.

He also experiences moments of dysregulation, with strong flight/fright responses that show up more in structured school settings than 1:1. The family values a nanny who approaches big emotions with regulation, empathy, and the “Good Inside” mindset—helping him understand boundaries, develop coping skills, and move through his day with warmth and predictability. He currently attends a half-day program from 8:00am–12:00pm, though the family is evaluating whether he’ll remain half-day, shift to full-time, or take a temporary school break. Regardless, he thrives with consistent routines and steady support.

This family appreciates a nanny who is intellectually curious, OT-informed or eager to learn, and passionate about early childhood development. The home is low-screen, high-engagement, and collaborative. A golden retriever is part of the family, and pet care is a meaningful part of the role. Both parents work from home—with mom especially involved and supportive—so a nanny who enjoys close partnership will thrive here.

This is a live-out role. No travel is required.

Ideal Candidate:

The family is seeking a nanny who is:

  • Very present, screen-free, and not on their phone during the day

  • Playful, outdoorsy, and happy to get messy with art or sensory projects

  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable as a household partner

  • An animal lover who adores dogs

  • Happy to cook, tidy, and support household flow

A nanny who is energetic, curious, structured, and deeply engaged in understanding child behavior will be a fantastic fit.

Responsibilities:

  • Support emotional regulation using a calm, “Good Inside” approach

  • Maintain predictable routines and transitions

  • Plan enriching outdoor activities and outings

  • Support OT principles during play when appropriate

  • Errands such as returns, post office, or picking up items

  • Occasional light home tasks as needed

Pet Care:

  • Daily dog walks

  • Occasional grooming drop-offs

  • Basic pet care and love for the family’s golden retriever

Additional Needs:

  • Occasional weekend hours for date nights

  • Comfortable working in a home where both parents work from a home office

  • Strong partnership and ongoing communication

Schedule:

Approximately 40 hours per week

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $40–$50/hour, depending on experience

  • 40 guaranteed hours per week

  • 2 weeks paid vacation (nanny chooses one week)

  • 5 paid sick days

  • Paid major federal holidays

  • Monthly healthcare stipend available if needed

  • Relocation support available for the right candidate

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
