About the Family & Role

A warm, active family in Rye is seeking an energetic, proactive, and communicative nanny to join their childcare team. Mom is home full-time and values spending as much time with the children as possible. Dad works a hybrid schedule, and the family has a full-time house manager with ten years of nanny experience who also supports childcare.

This is a collaborative, three-person childcare team, with the nanny serving as the second childcare support alongside Mom and the house manager. The role is designed to support the family鈥檚 daily routines and activities rather than require one person to manage all five children independently. The two older boys attend school from 8:30 AM鈥3:00 PM, the 4-year-old attends nursery school from 8:30 AM鈥2:30 PM, and the 3-year-old attends nursery school beginning at 8:30 AM. The baby is home throughout the day.

With the older children at school for much of the day and afternoons shared across three experienced adults, candidates can expect a team-oriented and well-supported environment. Regular light tutoring and homework help will be a regular part of this role with the older children.

The family is looking for a long-term team member who enjoys imaginative play, outdoor activities, crafts, and helping children develop age-appropriate independence and responsibility.
