Household Dynamic:
This warm, welcoming Needham family is looking for a loving and energetic nanny to join their growing household. Currently, their daughter is 2 and beginning potty training, and a new baby boy is due in mid‑September. Both parents will be on some maternity/paternity leave until early January, and starting in the New Year, the nanny will have both children.
Mom works from home 3–4 days per week, and Dad works from home one day per week. The family needs an experienced, nurturing, and adaptable nanny who can confidently care for a toddler and a newborn, maintain a predictable routine, and create a safe, fun, and enriching environment for both children. No pets, no travel, and no weekends required.
Their daughter is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts, so comfort and awareness with food allergies is essential. A car is needed to get to the position, but a family car can be used during work hours.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is warm, bubbly, and talkative — someone who loves to interact with children, get down on their level, and make every day an adventure. You’re a proactive self‑starter with an eye for details and a playful, nurturing demeanor. You’re organized and can balance a mix of duties with ease, from tending to the children to supporting household needs like laundry, kitchen tidying, and general household inventory. You have experience supporting potty‑training and making long afternoon naps part of the routine.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide loving, age‑appropriate care for the 2‑year‑old and, in early 2025, the newborn
Maintain and adapt daily schedules and routines as needed
Plan and prepare meals for the toddler, and maintain kitchen tidiness
Do children’s laundry and help with seasonal planning and general household inventory
Maintain allergy safety protocols and use an EpiPen if necessary
Get the children out and about for enrichment and play — be active, engaged, and nurturing
Be a warm, consistent, and trustworthy presence for the children and family
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a nanny for infants and toddlers
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain prior to starting)
Strong organizational and communication skills
Confident, dependable, and energetic
Comfortable managing food allergies and using an EpiPen
Valid driver's license required (no car required — family car can be used on the job)
