About the Family

A warm, active, and high-energy family in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly adaptable live-in nanny to support their four children, ages 8, 6, 4, and 2. The children are energetic, playful, active in sports and activities, and each have their own unique personalities ranging from sensitive and sweet to outgoing and spirited. The family is looking for someone who can confidently jump into the flow of a busy household while creating a calm, loving, and supportive environment for the children.

The family already employs a full-time nanny/house manager during a traditional Monday鈥揊riday schedule and is looking to add a live-in nanny/family assistant to help support mornings, afternoons, evenings, activity transportation, household resets, and weekend flexibility as needed. Mom is a very active stay-at-home parent, while Dad works a hybrid schedule with an office located just a short walk from the home.

The family highly values teamwork, initiative, flexibility, strong communication, and a nanny who can naturally read the room and anticipate needs without requiring constant direction. They would love to find someone energetic, silly, organized, self-motivated, and genuinely excited to become an important and collaborative part of their family鈥檚 daily life.

The family also has a very mellow 9-year-old Golden Retriever, so comfort around dogs and willingness to provide occasional light pet care is important.

About the Role

This role is a thoughtful blend of hands-on childcare support and family assistant responsibilities within a fast-paced, collaborative household. During mornings, the nanny will assist with breakfast preparation, kitchen reset, getting backpacks packed and organized, helping coordinate the morning rush, and supporting school drop-offs and transitions. During afternoons and evenings, responsibilities include preparing snacks, packing sports and activity bags, assisting with school pickups and transportation to activities, helping prep dinner, supporting bath and bedtime routines, packing lunches for the following day, and completing end-of-day household resets.

The family is seeking someone who naturally takes initiative and enjoys helping maintain an organized and functional home environment. Household responsibilities include kitchen tidying, loading and unloading the dishwasher, tidying children鈥檚 spaces and common areas, helping unpack backpacks and sports bags, organizing mudrooms and play areas, assisting with children鈥檚 laundry, preparing simple meals and snacks, grocery and household errands, trash and recycling support, maintaining cleanliness and organization of strollers and diaper bags, helping maintain inventory of children鈥檚 supplies, and occasional assistance with putting groceries away.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, calm under pressure, flexible, active, collaborative, and comfortable balancing multiple moving pieces throughout the day. The family would love to find someone who enjoys staying busy, thrives in a team-oriented household, communicates clearly, and genuinely enjoys supporting both children and parents in a meaningful long-term role.
