A warm and welcoming family in Cambridge is seeking a kind, conscientious, and organized nanny to join their household. The role includes caring primarily for their 7-month-old during the day, while their 6-year-old is in school Monday–Thursday and for a half-day on Friday. Mom is a stay-at-home parent and actively involved in the school PTA, while dad works a hybrid schedule and travels frequently for work.
The ideal nanny will be collaborative, flexible, and supportive—comfortable balancing baby care (including contact naps and supporting breastfeeding routines) with family assistance and school-age engagement. The family values a professional who can set kind but clear boundaries with children, support learning through educational activities and tutoring, and help foster a warm, structured environment.
Summer travel is part of the role, and the family would love a nanny open to spending several weeks in Martha’s Vineyard with them. A car is provided for the nanny to use on the job, and while not required, having a car to commute to work is preferred.
Responsibilities include:
Loving and attentive care for a 7-month-old (including contact naps and feeding support)
School-day support for the 6-year-old as needed
Engaging children in tutoring, educational activities, and toy rotation
Meal prep for children and family (mom is gluten- and dairy-free)
Light household tidying and organizing, including children’s laundry and kitchen upkeep
Household inventory, errands, and managing contractors
Supporting family routines and collaborating with parentsQualifications:
3+ years of professional nanny experience, including infants
Kind, organized, and flexible personality
Comfortable working in a collaborative environment with a stay-at-home parent
Open to travel (summer in Martha’s Vineyard)
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Driver’s license required; family car provided for work use
If you are a dependable, nurturing, and organized professional looking for a long-term role, this could be a wonderful fit.
