Live-In Nanny for Traveling Family

Start: ASAP, ideally by July

Children: Two – ages 2 years and 6 months

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000/ year

Schedule: Monday–Friday; 3 twelve-hour days and 2 seven-hour days (parents are doctors and provide monthly schedule in advance); 50 hours/week guaranteed

Description: Location: Naperville, IL (Relocated every 9-12 months--permanent residence in St. Petersburg, FL)

Children: Two--ages 2 years and 6 moths 

Start Date: As soon as the right fit is found, ideally by July

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 3 twelve-hour days and 2 seven-hour days (parents are doctors and provide monthly schedule in advance); 50 hours/week garanteed

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000, based on experience

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation (nanny chooses one week), 5 paid sick days, paid major federal holidays, healthcare stipend if needed, annual discretionary bonus, annual raise, and long-term incentive bonus (2-year minimum commitment)

Live-In: This is a live-in role. The family requires relocation every 9-12 months.

Household Dynamic:

This warm, engaging family is seeking a dedicated, proactive and flexible live-in nanny to join their journey. Both parents are physicians working on rotating contracts, so the family moves approximately every 9-12 moths, typically between Illinois and Florida. The nanny will play a consistent and grounding role in the lives of two young children as they grow--where the family lands next, as well as their Siberian Husky dog. 

Currently based in Naperville, IL, the family's permanent residence is in St. Petersburg, FL, and upcoming assignments may involve additional domestic travel. This is a unique opportunity for a travel-ready caregiver er who thrives in dynamic environments and is eager to build a long-term relationship with a thoughtful, communicative household.

The ideal candidate is conscientious, collaborative, and proactive--someone who thrives in dynamic environments and values early childhood development. A flexible, team-oriented attitude is essential, along with a genuine passion for supporting children through their developmental stages. Grit, emotional  maturity, and strong  communication skills are key in this evolving household.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive and developmentally appropriate care to a 2-year-old and an infant 

  • Plan and implement education and milestone-driven activities 

  • Light tidying of common areas and children's spaces 

  • Family laundry and kitchen tidying 

  • Meal prep for children 

  • Bottle cleaning and sanitizing 

  • Light pet care (letting dog out, optional walks) 

  • Support family routine and adapt to evolving travel schedules

Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of professional childcare experience with infants and toddlers 

  • Strong knowledge of child development and early education 

  • Comfortable with domestic travel and flexible scheduling 

  • Dog-friendly (Siberian Husky in the home) Valid driver's license; car provided or parking available if using own 

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
