Dynamic, Emotionally Intelligent Full-Time Nanny/Household Manager for Active Family in Hinsdale, Illinois

Start: Mid-April (flexible for the right fit)

Compensation: $30–$40/hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday: 1:00 pm- 6:00 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 7:00 am- 6:00 pm Friday: 7:30 am–9:30 am 40 guaranteed hours per week The family will need a candidate with a high degree of flexibility, including availability for one late evening per week as needed for Mom’s work dinners. Beginning in June, the schedule may fluctuate slightly.

About the Family:

A warm, busy, and appreciative family in Hinsdale, IL is seeking a full-time nanny/household manager to support their two wonderful daughters, ages 8 and 3.5.

Their 8-year-old is creative, adventurous, and full of positive energy. She is highly social, athletically inclined, and loves trying new experiences. She thrives with gentle but firm boundaries and benefits from supportive guidance around emotional regulation.

Their 3.5-year-old is more introverted but equally social and observant. She loves coloring, reading, and is happily up for any activity. She enjoys engaging one-on-one connection and thoughtful encouragement.

Both children attend school during the day:

  • 8-year-old: 8:30 am–3:05 pm (M, T, Th, F) and 8:30 am–4:05 pm (W)

  • 3.5-year-old: 8:45 am–1:00 pm (M–F)

Mom works outside of the home, and Dad has a separate office space within the home. The household has no pets and no dietary restrictions. This role does not require travel.

The family is seeking a long-term, professional nanny/household manager who can confidently manage both childcare and household responsibilities, bringing structure, warmth, and organization to their daily lives.

Responsibilities

Childcare & Developmental Support:

  • Morning routine support and school drop-offs/pick-ups

  • Engaging, age-appropriate activities

  • Homework help and school project support

  • Supporting emotional regulation and reinforcing consistent boundaries

  • Planning enriching activities and outings

  • Preparing children’s meals and snacks

Household Management:

  • Kitchen tidying and light home organization

  • Children’s laundry

  • Meal planning and preparation

  • Household errands

  • Managing contractors

  • Seasonal clothing inventory for the children

  • Taking out garbage

  • Overseeing servicing of family vehicles

  • Paying household bills

  • Packing for travel and booking trips

  • Managing ad hoc household projects

Transportation:

  • Nanny must use their own reliable vehicle for commuting and transporting children

  • Street parking is available

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $30–$40/hour, depending on experience

  • 40 guaranteed hours per week

  • 5 paid sick days

  • 2 work weeks of paid vacation

  • Paid major federal holidays

  • Open to providing a healthcare stipend
