About the Family:
A kind, thoughtful family in Chevy Chase, Maryland is seeking a warm, reliable, and flexible full-time nanny to care for their two young boys, ages 3.5 years and 2 weeks old. This is an exciting season for their family as they adjust to life with a newborn while continuing to nurture their energetic and curious preschooler.
The older child (3.5) is high-energy, joyful, and full of personality. He has strong interests in baseball and music, loves going to the library, and enjoys reading. He thrives with engagement, structure, and positive connection. He attends preschool Monday–Friday from 9:00am–12:30pm.
The newborn is a preemie who is doing very well — feeding successfully and meeting milestones. Mom is combination breast and bottle feeding. The family is looking for a nanny who is confident and knowledgeable in newborn care, attentive to developmental milestones, and capable of supporting both children with patience and calm energy.
Mom works 100% remotely from a separate office space within the home, and Dad works a hybrid schedule, also from a separate office space. They are mindful of creating clear boundaries during the workday and are seeking a nanny who is comfortable working independently while maintaining open and respectful communication.
The family has one very friendly labradoodle. Pet care is minimal, but comfort around dogs is important.
The family follows a vegetarian lifestyle. While the nanny does not need to be vegetarian personally, they ask that no meat be cooked in the family’s cookware.
